Artists of XLR - Cino: Your Stomach's Good Bacteria

about

Remix (largely) of Chino Necker (bass) from My Attorney's 2012 album The Art School Method.

This song was originally done by the band Steve: From Fragment, comprising Ryan Fleming (later of NES Advantage), Andrew Warmington (later of My Attorney), Brian mcGee ((later of Future Loss), and Andrew Gardiner (later of all of the above). This version was put out on the Ex Libris Records album This is Closure. The track was re-worked several times by my attorney, once as a bass-heavy mix on The Art School Method (and then again as a live version closer to the original). A more detailed history of the band is at unimbued.blogspot.co.uk/2013/09/grilly-remixes-my-attorney-steve-from.html

This remix draws on the source files of both of those versions, as well as adding much of my own input. This has got a 12" feel to it, due to the fact that when the song (structured using the MA version) finished, I didn't want the groove to stop so copy-pasted the riffs on for another two minutes and dubbed different lines in and out. The only sampled drum loop comes from Girls Girls Girls' 'Girls Girls Girls 6'.

lyrics

Witnessing the fall of the rich and the fabulous, you can talk to my dad
What are you doing on Friday night because you are smoking late
Do you have a jacket - What did you just call me?
Pick up the phone with your idle thumbs, make the most of your summer

Welcome to my world, Welcome

Your stomach's good bacteria, why did you go off on me yesterday?
I don't know
It's all I'm necking, necking, necking chino necking chino
necking, necking, necking chino necking chino

Welcome to my world, Welcome

I'm still a guy who tried to burn down his house - Cino.
I'm still a girl who tried to kill her herself - Mexico...

Welcome to my world, Welcome.

Welcome back...
